STEMpact Integration Quality

STEMpact’s newest initiative STEM Integration Quality (STEM IQ) is dedicated to supporting high-quality STEM integration in school systems, leading to exemplary practices and outcomes.

District central office leadership teams, lead teachers, instructional leaders and coaches and principals work with STEMpact facilitators to develop a centralized plan for exemplary STEM instruction leading to stronger academic outcomes.

In the 2017-2018 school year, STEMpact identified five school districts (Hazelwood, Hillsboro, Jennings, St. Charles and University City) committed to taking “the next step.” The districts agreed to participate in a three-year initiative. Over the summer of 2017,  STEMpact facilitated a three-day retreat for leadership teams from each participating district. During the retreat, participants  spent their time learning, collaborating and planning. In July 2017, implementation for year one began.
